PROM
May 18th, 2007My Favorite Time of the Year, Prom Season!!!!! I love doing Prom flowers. The more unique and unusual the better. This design matched his dates gown to a “T”. Nosegays are a “HOT” item when it comes to Prom flowers. This nosegay showcases, “Opium” red roses. The gilded salal leaves and added gold rhinestones gives this piece a “Pop”. Black satin stem wrap and lots of black chiffon ribbon tails also accent this bouquet. Of course, the boutonniere is matching!

Senior Photoshoot.
May 16th, 2007On April 30, 2007 we went to Forest Park to do a Senior photo session for my son who is about to graduate high school. I hired the enormously talented company, Nordmann Photography, www.nordmannphoto.com . When we went to see the images, I had tears running down my cheek. Lisa Nordmann is a genius when it comes to Senior photography. It is always amazing to watch another industry professional, and a dear friend, work their magic.
Do you know where I am?
May 16th, 2007My Favorite Garden Flower
May 2nd, 2007I have always been overwhelmed by the beauty of the Iris. My Grandmother always called them, “Flags”. They are one of the most beautifully, perfect flowers that I have ever seen. The colors are always rich, vibrant, and amazing. The petals are of utter perfection and the scent is out of this world. If I had the time, I would have an entire garden of these. Because of the bitter freeze that we had, I think this is the one and only one that will bloom. I wish the blooms would stay around for a while, but they wither away so quickly. I wait with anticipation till next year!
